Huang Laboratory at UCSF Department of Pathology needed an information website to get an online presence to share their research, publications and laboratory information. The main stakeholder and Research Analyst Nic Leonio requested for a simple and minimalist design for the look and feel of the site. While also considering the website viewer persona, I provided sample templates online for Nic Leonio. After his selection, I immediately started prototyping the website. The website was going to be hosted under the UCSF domain server so I opted to building the site using HTML, CSS and JS with Bootstrap.
Nic Leonio provided content throughout the development process as well as feedback on the progress of the website. I optimized images using Photoshop and applied SEO media file naming conventions. Upon completing the website, we used Dropbox to share the website files. I instructed Nic Leonio to copy the files into the UCSF server maintaining the same file structure. The Huang Laboratory website project took 4 months to launch.
